The Rural Sports Meet organized by NTPC Ramagundam has become one of the biggest sporting events in the district. Students from several government schools participated in athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, and other competitions.
More than twenty schools from Ramagundam, Kamanpur, Anthargaon, and Palakurthi mandals took part in the event. Officials stated that the tournament aims to identify hidden sporting talent from rural areas and provide opportunities for young athletes. Sports officials encouraged students to balance education and sports while developing leadership and teamwork skills. The event has significantly increased interest in sports among rural youth.
